Press Release January 2012
Nantwich Commercial Law firm Bowcock Cuerden LLP has just celebrated the tenth anniversary of its accreditation to Lexcel, the Law Society’s prestigious practice management standard.
Lexcel is only awarded to practices that meet high management and client care standards. All Lexcel accredited practices must undergo an annual application and independent assessment process to ensure they meet the required standards. As Law Society President John Wotton says: “Securing the Lexcel mark of excellence is no mean feat”.
In its latest assessment the firm was specifically complimented on its standards of client care, supervision and management of its staff, and its systems and procedures relating to individual clients’ matters. Managing Director Philip Cuerden said: “Even now, around 9 out of every 10 legal practices do not have Lexcel, and many of those which do have accreditation have only recently managed to reach that level. When we were first awarded the accreditation back in late 2001, and for a number of years since, we were the only law firm between Chester and the Potteries to have it. Initially achieving accreditation, though a major task, is really only the start. Having held it for so long has enabled us to work and develop with it over the years, for the benefit of clients and staff as well as the firm itself. Everyone at the firm is to be congratulated on this significant milestone”.
The firm was founded in 1994 and is the National Farmers Union legal panel firm covering Cheshire and Derbyshire.
